A long-awaited musical, Michael Kunze’ and Sylvester Lévay’s Elisabeth arrives at the Szeged Open-air Festival for a three-night-stay. The sweeping musical about the life of Empress Elisabeth celebrated its original Hungarian debut exactly at the Dóm Squared Grand Stage in 1996, having instantly captured the hearts of the Szeged audience. This time, this grande tale of love and the desire for freedom, in which Death himself becomes an active player, shall be presented by the Katona József National Theatre of Kecskemét, directed by Vajk Szente.
