The Szeged Open-Air Festival will close the season of 2020 with the premiere of a true classic musical legend: West Side Story by Leonard Bernstein. The writer was inspired by the story of Romeo and Juliet. Interestingly in 1965 the festival played the West Side Story, four years after the 11 Oscar awarded film. It was the festival’s first musical premiere.
