The marvellous and lush fairy-tale world of the One Thousand and One Nights is almost two thousand years old. Now, István Tasnádi, Péter Geszti and Andás Monori decided to weave some of the Arabian, Persian, Indian and Chinese elements of the old story cycle together to make a magical musical play. In the framing device of this exciting world musical, the lovelorn King Sahriar meets Sehrzad. The slave girl – trying to save her life – begins an intriguing fable. Her tales bring all the legendary heroes of the Orient to life: Harun, the naive prince, Jasmine, the beautiful princess, Ali, the cunning thief, the evil Jafar, and the blabbering Djinn of course. However, the newest piece by the authors of The Jungle Book and The Paul Street Boys, Made in Hungária, and Portugal respectively, is not like any other adaptation. This exotic love story is full of dramatic and funny twists and turns, and features certified earworms sure to enchant young and old alike!
